Contemplating...

I tried a different approach with this one. I completed the whole thing in grayscale and then used the "Color" layer option to fill in all the hues later on. I think it worked nicely. I still feel like this piece isn't done but it's been sitting on my desktop alone for too long.

Grant Work

I've been working with a couple other talented artists on a MacArthur Grant to create a science based adventure game for elementary students. My job is to create illustrations of completed 3D models of the animals in the game.

Just got this idea in my head the other day to do a military piece. Inked it in Photoshop, plan on coloring it in Illustrator.

Vectren Work

Here's some actual pieces I did for Vectren. The planets are what the main character Thermy, travels to and attempts to "heal" after the player completes a number of informative webgames. Same with the Volt character and the rooms as well. It was really a blast working on this project. I learned a lot about working in a team environment.

Mean Skull Tut

Made this skull tutorial for a buddy of mine. Never done a tutorial of my own so it was a new experience. It's fun pretending you know how to do something. :P

Anni Concept + Hardware Update! :D

This is officially my first piece I've created from my brand new Cintiq 21UX. And my God...where the hell has this been all my life? I finally feel like a professional. This is something every digital painter should invest in. The difference can only be described in one word: AMAZING.

Anyways, this is Anni. I based him lightly off of another rock icon but he doesn't have much back story other than that he's the main antagonist in my D&D band of characters.
