Harold 3D Progression Pt. 4

First real render! I am so f'ing happy about this project. It was a blast to do and I'm really far from done. I want to finish Zbrushing the detail of the shirt, jacket, and the rest of the head, and then eventually put some fur on this guy. AND THEN pose him! And I couldn't be more excited. :)

Slash Concept

"I've taken myself to the edges of life my way. And I'm still here."

Wooow, it's been awhile. I've been pretty busy this semester so it's been tough keeping up with this thing. Anyways, here's one of two concepts I did of Guns N' Roses members....I did an Axl one but I'm not too sure I'm happy with the results sooo I may not post that one. But here's my real pride and joy. My hero Saul "Slash" Hudson, one the greatest guitarists ever. This man's always amazed me and helped me strive to become a guitarist myself. He has a style unlike anyone else and a stage presence that matches no one. Hope you like. liiii|; ),

Heavy Metal Demon Cat Thingy

New concept I'm working on... This is....well, this is something that just popped into my head. In honor of my love for everything rock n roll, especially the glam metal bands of the 80's, I came up with this interesting character. I'll probably make his Dio hand smaller, add horns, and add more items to his hair band attire, but this guy makes me chuckle...just a smidgen :P

Vectren Gas and Electric Work

If you get a chance, check out the Vectren website. Over the summer I worked with John Ludwick and several other artists on mini games to teach kids about gas and electric safety. I did some artwork for both games as well as the website itself. They only took a fraction of the art I gave them for the site but eh, whaddagonnado. I was happy to help them out.

Harold Stance Final

Went a little overboard with the background but...what are you gonna do, that's how I am. Did two different versions because in the comic the art is in noir black and white, high contrast. I don't know which looks better though o_O I'm probably going to take a break from Harold concepts now. I need to work on other development pieces. Lemme know what you think. :)

Harold Mania!

Along with the all side concepts, my class is to create several action poses as well to look at for reference. I like the way this is going. The character is by no means a violent person and I tried as best I could to capture his nervousness with a gun. I may add some shaky lines to emphasize it. Tell me what you think! The colored version should be up soon.

Harold Concept Pt. 4

I'm probably going to make a few more little additions to this work, aka close ups of the hands and arms, ect. You'll see those and hopefully some 3D renderings soon enough. Thanks to everyone (Linda Loo) who helped critique (moaned about how it should look) my work. Couldn't have done it right (would have been better my way) without ya. :P

Harold P. Beare

Concept work for my upcoming 3D model. This is the main character of a graphic novel I'm writing of my own. I really love old noir/suspense/mystery movies so this is something I really want to pursue.

Harold is a very depressed, unhappily married, life insurance salesman living in the decaying crevices of a corrupt city in a parallel 1962.

(and no, Kung Fu Panda had no inspirational input for this story. I began this idea a few months before I saw the poster advertised at my local theater. :P )
